Anielka García Hernández

Anielka is a Bachelor of Biology with a major in Natural Resource Management. She has experience in in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). She has worked with birds in Radio Telemetry and recently in an EIA Environmental Impact Assessment Course. She has worked with different taxa in both Flora and Fauna. She had the opportunity to work with sea turtles in Fauna & Flora International, where she worked as a Field Technician in Hawksbill Conservation. She will now work on Leatherback conservation in the nesting beach Veracruz de Acayo in the Pacific of Nicaragua, a project developed by Fauna & Flora International.

The Eastern Pacific Leatherback Turtle Conservation Network started in 2012 when over thirty researchers, NGOs, and regional experts came together to develop an action plan to stabilize and restore the leatherback turtle population in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
