Eduardo has a Bachelor’s in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua (UNAN-León). Since 2007, he has carried out conservation work in the marine-coastal areas of the Pacific of Nicaragua, focused on sea turtles conservation, training personnel from communities near the nesting beaches, and executing conservation projects for these species. He acquired the first four years of experience in leatherback conservation projects in the Isla Juan Venado Nature Reserve and in Veracruz de Acayo beach, two of the main nesting sites for Leatherback in Nicaragua. He is currently part of the team of the NGO Fauna & Flora International in Nicaragua, where he has been working on a hawksbill conservation project for 8 years.
