leatherback hall of heroes

The conservation of Leatherback Sea turtles from the Eastern Pacific has been going on for over 40 years in the Americas region, evolving in nesting beaches, fishing ports, and the open sea.  An endless work is promoted by people committed to this species’ recovery, some of them are scientists, government, or community representatives devoted to the common weal of their communities and respect for the nature that surrounds them.

LEATHERBACK HALL OF HEROES aims to rescue from anonymity and honor individuals who have made or are currently making extraordinary contributions to the recovery of the Leatherback Sea turtles, making a real difference from and within their communities, an example to be followed.
