Sean Williamson

Sean is an early-career scientist, and he has been researching sea turtles since starting his Ph.D. at Monash University in 2013. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Florida Atlantic University. Through previous collaborations with the Leatherback Trust, Upwell Turtles, Ecology Project International, Reserva Pacuare, and other organizations,he has worked on various leatherback turtle projects, and hard-shelled turtle projects, throughout Australia, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the United States of America. He is very excited to assist the Laúd OPO Network in any capacity to ensure the survival of Eastern Pacific leatherback turtles into the future.

The Eastern Pacific Leatherback Turtle Conservation Network started in 2012 when over thirty researchers, NGOs, and regional experts came together to develop an action plan to stabilize and restore the leatherback turtle population in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
